When the building is quiet and the weather can’t make up its mind, there’s nothing better than watching a group of kids, march through the hallways singing and smiling. As a big kid at heart one of the first things I wanted to do when I arrived at BSDC was to get to know as many kids as possible. And with so many kids in the temple, nothing makes me happier than spending a little part of my day being around the coolest people here.
It has become somewhat of a tradition that around once a month I go and read a story to the kids in the ECC. Today, as it is the Sabbath, the book I read is a non-fiction book “Dinosaurs on Shabbat.” The themes of the book are all about community and family. This is not only one of the key themes to Shabbat, but it is also one of the biggest objectives we have here at BSDC. We thrive to create a safe, fun, and energetic atmosphere where kids can learn values in a playful way.
I hope you all have a wonderful Shabbat and a wonderful weekend
