For 30 years, Holly Firestone has been an integral member of the Leadership Team. She oversees every aspect of camp operations including managing the camp office, administrative duties and assisting parents with any question they may have regarding camp. Her commitment to ensuring that every child at BSDC has a wonderful summer at camp is extraordinary. Holly’s children attended Beth Sholom Day Camp and she is dedicated to providing the same positive summer camp experience to every family that she had herself. She truly values the relationships she has formed with so many parents over the years and is looking forward to another great summer at Beth Sholom.

Heath Levine, Assistant Director

Heath Levine is a lifelong camper.  He has attended or worked at camp each summer since he was four years old.  With experience at two prominent day camps on Long Island as a Counselor, Supervisor, Program Director and Full Time Director, he is thrilled to work closely with Holly and the leadership team in directing BSDC.   Heath has a degree in Chemistry from Union College and a Masters in Elementary Education from Long Island University.  He taught elementary school for ten years before taking a full time role at camp.   Heath’s vision of camp is of children taking risks, improving their favorite skills, making friends, learning how to win (and how to lose), and discovering who they want to be.  He is an active member of the American Camp association as a Standards Visitor in the accreditation process of ACA camps.  Heath also regularly attends and participates in industry events and conferences in order to find ways to further improve the camp experience for children of all ages.
